hey, instagram, am i following your
community guidelines now? /// did you know that the average child sees more than 200,000 acts of
violence and 16,000 murders on tv before they turn
18. that we reveal such inhumane, psychologically
disturbing and uncensored videos to impressionable
children, while one of the most natural parts of a
woman’s body is seen as a scandal? the basic
anatomy of a woman is seen as a scandal? the same
anatomy that the male body has? something as
innocent as breastfeeding is seen as inappropriate,
yet your internet history and chats scream ‘hypocrisy’.
apparently, its okay for women to be demeaned and
hypersexualized but once a woman is proud of her
own body, it’s considered shameful? this isn’t about
influencing or forcing all women to walk around
shirtless, it’s about reclaiming our bodies as our own
and taking back our choice. our choice to be seen as
human, rather than property. it’s about women no
longer being viewed as sexual objects and being
given more respect. it’s about normalizing that
breasts are not sex organs and lessen its association
to sexual acts. it’s about teaching children that
breasts are used to feed babies and changing the
information that has been passed on through
families for centuries. it’s about not being defined by
the length of our skirt, the cleavage shown, the
amount of makeup we wear, etc. it’s about fighting a
mindset that was made to bring us down and being
seen as someone, instead of flesh and fat ready to be
moulded by how society sees fit. #something
