Holy shit, this is actually plausible. I was skeptical but curious so I gave it a shot.

The first few times I said it, she just gave me info on the character, then on one of the movies. Then she said something along the lines of “Sorry, I cannot find Batman vs Superman at any theaters near you.”

But finally on the tenth try, she responds with “You have activated One Command Purchasing through your Amazon account. You can now purchase randomized Batman merchandise by saying “Batman!” into any Echo device. *clapping sounds start playing*

I tried it just once more to see if this was a joke, and sure enough Alexa said “You have successfully ordered a dinner with Batman actor Ben Affleck for $150,000. Please visit Amazon.com for order status.” I was literally SCREAMING at Alexa to cancel order, but she said the purchase was non refundable. I’m now headed over to both TIFU and FinancialAdvice to find out what to do next.

But on the bright side, at least I get to have dinner with a celebrity.

Update: omg so I was trying to contact Amazon support and I get a call from a random number and i pick it up expecting it to be a telemarketer and bEN AFFLECK WAS CALLING ME TO SAY HI AND THAT HE WOULD PAY FOR MY TICKET OMFG PINCH MY ARSE I MUST BE DREAMING
