I have lost everything, and I’m not sure how to continue. This week I invested $17,500 (six months salary and my entire life savings) into GME, hoping to capitalize on this lucrative short squeeze. After reading a post about DeepFuckingVale and his GME positions, I decided I’d try to do something similar with GME. I did some research and found out that there was over 100% of GME shares shorted, due to deteriorating market conditions conditions in America and a higher-than-average VIX. At first, the stock soared around last week and prices skyrocketed, and then some more a few days ago, but the GME bubble burst on January 28th. Unfortunately, the halting of buying GME shares caused a massive drop-off in demand due to fewer people being able to purchase GME shares for their portfolios, and prices plummeted. I had invested into GME at $500 per share and thought I would still be fine, but then on the morning of January 29th, a day where many people were saying the greatest of all squeezes would occur, never came. This financially ruined everything for me. To top it off, Robinhood automatically sold my GME shares for $250, causing me to lose half my money in a matter of 36 hours. I am ruined.
