It says a lot about body image acceptance in how people feel the need to modify themselves in the futile and never ending pursuit of likes and validation for greater feelings of self value on a superficial level that ultimately derails us from our true purpose and goals in life via this distraction. The black and white scheme serves as a metaphor to the exact same levels of unworthiness both feel, it shows that even though one seems to have more self value than the other, in truth by relying on this system for their sense of value, they are miserable and worthless, with the only color the opposing metaphor signifying light, life, invigoration being in the high of trying to get likes and followers. A draining exploiting and deceiving system, an image that encapsulates the dichotomy onto an ironically mono-color scale symbolizing their homogeneity on the level of meaninglessness.
