Target Disk Mode

Booting a Mac into target disk mode allows the internal storage to show up on another Mac as external storage.
The following will work with target disk mode:

  • Thunderbolt 1-3
  • USB C
  • Firewire

NOTE: A1342 do not have any target disk mode capable ports.
