I can’t talk about League to my friends anymore

Is it normal for your friends to get up all in your face whenever you talk about League?

Just last week, I brought up the new champion Aphelios to my best friend Derek and immediately he says, “Oh so you think he’s better than me?”

Honestly, what does that mean?

Confused, I say, “Derek, Aphelios is a champion in League, not some other frien-“.

But he cuts me off and starts stomping on his feet like an absolute child.

I tried to calm him down, but after queuing up my ‘Relax with Nightblue3’ video playlist, he got more annoyed and started throwing items around my house.

Fortunately it was just normal things like plastic cups and tissue boxes.

Thinking maybe something happened to make him upset, I let him continue and tried to talk about it.

I asked, “What’s wrong dude?”

He looks back at me and hisses.

“Huh??”, I shout back.

Again, he looks me dead in the eye and pauses.

I mention, “Derek, what the hell is going on with you, let’s talk.”

Suddenly, he starts screaming and yells, “Mess with the bull, you get the horns.”

Without a second to pass, he starts charging after me.

My girlfriend comes into the room at that moment and says, “What is with all this ruckus?”

Derek turns to her and starts foaming at the mouth.

My girlfriend and I look at each other with concern.

Derek opens his mouth and says “NA flash” before jumping straight into the wall and falling down.

After that he was passed out, so we took him to the hospital.

During the car ride over he kept mumbling things like, “Zoe is actually thousands of years old, so it’s okay.” And “I may be Silver but my heart is Gold”

I checked in on him yesterday, but the nurse had to escort us over to a monitored room where I wasn’t allowed to enter.

The nurse said, “It seems that Derek has suffered from Reddit Analyst syndrome”.

I fell to the floor in shock.

How could I not notice this before?

He was always mentioning things like “Dark Harvest Master Yi is busted” and “TSM’s wrath will be swift.”

I hope he can recover, but the nurse said it is slim.

I am broken, but I needed to make this post to warn others to be cautious and perceptive around friends when talking about League.

If you or a loved one may have Reddit Analystheleoma, contact a doctor right away.

Edit: FYI I reposted this from my old (deleted) account.
