My story takes place over at Willow Park High School where I hath attended 4 years throughout my high school career. I also had 13 years of experience on the piano and became most productive while featuring myself as the school’s pianist from 2012-2016. Unlike any other pianist, no one had proven themselves what they were made of except for me. It was a competition to see whom would be the most extraordinary pianist in all of Willow Park High School while getting involved in many extracurricular activities all in one. The first musical group that I hath been a part of in my four years in high school was playing in the Willow Park Marching Band. Performing in many important events such as sports, assemblies, concerts, and festivals on the Euphonium while participating into the Madison High School Districts Honor Band for three years to represent the Willow Park High Schools Band reputation on placing in 1st chair for two years, and then 2nd chair in the 3rd year. The second musical group that I was apart for three years is being apart of the Willow Park’s Honor Show Choir. I was their only accompanist that was professional enough to stand up for the band as their bandleader called,“The Honor Band.” But lastly, it’s more of a marvelous plan to where the school’s pianist creates a masterpiece it comes original to me. Basically, I’ve composed a theme song to show my peers to the whole school as well as a piano song entitled:“The Willow Park Pianist.” The song had a potion; the spell of memory that every student body, staff member, and the principal to let them remember whom was the original school’s pianist in Willow Park High School overall.  However, there is more to say for what I’ve done in my previous years at Willow Park High School.

After playing with the Willow Park’s Honor Show Choir on the piano while leading the honor band towards a great success for three years straight, I’ve simply prevailed into music in the park’s competition by earning the medal of winning best accompanist overall as honored. Here’s the reason behind it while I’ll elucidate with elaboration. First off, we were traveling all the way from Madison to Milwaukee in a charter bus to where our music in the park’s competition at The Harvey Davidson Museum was held over at Veteran’s Park.

Secondly, while the honor show choir was dressing up into their uniforms, as well as the honor band in tuxedos, everybody was well prepared to go inside to go full out and give it their all to prevail. There were two judges that were music teachers who were critically watching, marking down points, and critiquing us while our performance kept going as nonstop. Thirdly, Each of the following selections, the Willow Park Honor Show Choir was performing five festival songs in order: A Sky Full of Stars by Coldplay, All of Me by John Legend, Shake Your Groove Thing by Peaches & Herb, and Dance with Me Tonight by Olly Murs, and lastly Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Finally, we’ve astounded the judges, and the audience while indulging with positive comments in our performance on point without any errors. As a result, Willow Park Honor Show Choir was awarded 1st place Superior, 1st place show choir overall, Rosa Walter, a friend of mine, winning the best of soloist medal overall, and I, myself had won the best of accompanist medal overall. With the score of 96% and 97% in the competition, it was worthy of earning first place superior to make my last year in high school count. Even though, there was a big present that was the most honorable gift that I could ever accomplish on encouraging the choir to finish strong and never giving up by earning the trophy of most inspirational at the end.

When the senior prom of 2016 was coming around the corner in the month of May, there hath been rumors going on about the nominations of Prom King, and Queen. In many cases, it caught me thinking as I’ve questioned myself,“What would happen if I were to be proclaimed as Prom King of 2016?” I had a grand pause; it has hidden inside of my sharp brain to imagine such wondrous gift of pleasure, the gift of honor, the gift of adoration, and the gift of respect that every senior would highly admire me to make the night to remember.

So I had an important mission to adapt; I’ve started out by speaking to all of my folks that I wanted to become Prom King of 2016. As there was a reason on why as I explained,“My brothers, we are about to embark on the most enlightening, the most glorifying, the most desirable present to include into my illustrious career. A price to top all price, a price that will live memories to come!” Then I’ve added a second important news into my announcement,“On the day of prom will take place at Liberty station where the ballot voting election will be the official prom king, and queen of 2016. And with the enthusiastic help that I want thee boys do to in this important mission is by spreading the word! Spread the word throughout the whole campus, and social media with thy credible ideas to grab their attention to vote for me as prom king of 2016. Note this, make sure that none of the other campaign candidates that I’m going against such as Rodrigo Bennet, head football player, who’s my biggest match to overcome him, and Jonathan Teague, head wrestler, to not steal away most of my voters before the day of prom comes; now go do as favored immediately!” And so, my boys had simply got right on with the mission that was being assigned to them and proceeded as smart, clever, and intelligent campaign managers.

The next day of school, I’ve checked in with my campaign managers to question them,“How many voters hath ye all collected so far in total in my favors?” They’ve simply responded back to me,“Well brother Jim, as a result, we’ve approximately collected 70 voters in total in thy favors.” I’ve smile at them, giving them the handshake of the greatest appreciation I needed their help.

After collecting 70 voters all in total, I’ve started creating a campaign video with the assistance of my brother in the honor band named Mackenzie Walter . As we were recording the campaign interview video as lived with my brother Isaiah Patrickson as my cameraman. From the final recording of the video, the campaign video turned out to be an enormous success and advanced my chances on winning the crown of victory on the night of prom. On May 28th, the day of prom had arrived. I got so excited and started to get dressed into my prom tuxedo and began to head out to the bus station.

Once I had arrived at the station where the senior prom was located I had seen the table of the ballot voting election was going on right in front of me. I was frightened and felt concerned; debating whether if I would win, or not. When I entered inside of prom, I had started to emerge on asking a bunch of seniors if they have voted; some said yes, and some said no. For those that haven’t, I’ve given them a friendly reminder that my name is Bruce Boyce. And I also told them to vote for me as their prom king of 2016 as I quoted that,“It Will Bee Lit if Brucetien Luna Boyce is Prom King.”

While I was convincing many seniors to vote for me in a timely matter, everybody has started to head over to the ballot table and voted for me. After all that worry, there was an announcement coming up to my ears as I was listening to our class president. Lillia Moore was wanting all the campaigners to Valley forth in front of the dancing floor. I started to walk up and began to listen to the final winners of prom king, and queen of 2016. Lillia More hast given the result that,“the winners of prom king and queen of 2016 is Bruce Boyce and Rosemary Williams!”

My eyes were wide opened, I had an ecstatic look on my face. I was wearing the crown of respect, honor, pleasure, and a blissful moment where I had started to tear up on winning the crown of victory for myself, for my people, and for my family that was very proud of me for accomplishing my goal. As promised, I had proceeded to present my pride by singing my theme song called: “The Willow Park Pianist.” Thus, it was a wonderful night to remember for winning prom king of 2016.

Lastly, on senior award nights, I had such honorary awards that hath been bestowed to me from the Willow Park Honor Show Choir, the Coast Guard Band, and the Willow Park Marching Band. The first award that I had earned was winning the trophy of most inspirational. The way how I had earned the trophy of most inspirational was not just a regular gift, but a gift of grateful deeds of honor, and creativities by putting in the time, and the effort to help out with the choir, and leading the honor band in Willow Park. The second award that I had earned was receiving an honor marine corporation certificate by a military band member named CJ Atlow. The final award, I had earned was the John Williams scholarship award which consisted of five hundred dollars in total inside of the envelope from the Willow Park Marching Band.

I’ll leave this note, that my time at Willow Park High School from 2012-2016 lives on with the remarkable memories that will never be forgotten, as well as my legacy, which will never die for good.
