That little kid who flinched at Anakin’s lightsaber is an underrated actor. Explanation: One thing actor’s struggle with is overacting. Putting way too much into a single thing, be it a line, an action, or, in this case, a singular flinch. 45 year old trained Shakespeareans find this challenging. Realism, when required, is something we are all horrible at imitating, and we EASILY overshoot it. What’s worse is there are so many child actors who just aren’t even close to being good. A 4 year old who can project believable, subtle, body language? That little dude did a great job, especially when you remember that the lightsaber doesn’t even look like anything to an actor. So yeah, that kid deserves more praise.
