The You’re a Kid, You’re a Squid Philosophy

Possibly one of life’s greatest mysteries and conundrums, is the “you’re a kid you’re a squid philosophy”. Many gamers, primarily Splatoon, has been known to use this insult. Originally discovered in Nintendo’s Splatoon trailer, this features someone singing “You’re a kid, you’re a squid now”. The footage involves gameplay of the avatar repetitively shape-shifting from a kid to a squid. This is a Splatoon gameplay technique. Now on to the philosophy. If you’re a kid, then you’re a squid. So therefor, all squids are kids. But what happens when a kid grows up? There is a theory philosophy of “you’re an adult, you’re an octopus” but that is still only a rumor. But kids aren’t adults, so squids can’t be adults. And since all squids are kids, and squids can’t be adults since all squids are kids, does that mean that kids will never grow up? If kids never grow up, then neither will squids! So will life turn out to be a world, run by kids, and kid squids? No, because all kids are squids, so there would be no kids, only kid squids. So in conclusion, kids can’t grow up, because kids are squids, and if they grow up, they are no longer a squid. So how did adults become adults? You can’t just stop being a squid. And since all kids are squids, you can’t grow up.
