I have always been favourable to Inanna/Ishtar. (Even named my cat after her.) Just for being basically the Prometheus of civilization. As well as being the goddess of, well, passionate activities: love, sex, and war. Not to mention being the patron goddess of my favorite cities of Nineveh and Uruk.

I also have grown attached to Enlil and Ninlil, the high god of the sky and the goddess of agriculture. Though who’s name means lady of the sky. Mostly because I have learned the importance of their city, Nippur. Which is also why they are the high god and goddess. I say high god and goddess for they were the top gods for most of the Sumerian era, and even after it even Murduk pays homage to Enlil to become the current king of the gods “allowing” Enlil and Ninlil to go off and do god things. Also he flooded the planet because we were being too noisy for him with what I think is alluded to be too much prayer. Which makes me chuckle if you think how much people pray all the time to the current “high god”.
