It’s someone trying to make an edgy joke with a damn chicken, that’s why I don’t really care.
I eat lots of what you would call “ruined meat”. As long as you clean it before too long it would be fine. Whenever you hunt birds getting pellets in the guts is inevitable, it’s one of the reasons why you wash off the meat. It’s the same with geese, ducks and chickens. Not turkeys though as you have to go for head and neck shots with them.

I hunt with people who literally teach hunters ed, and people who used to work as game wardens. A game warden was literally the person who taught me how to hunt. So calling me a bad hunter is about the furthest thing you can get from the truth.

As to the sociopath thing, I felt it was strange for people to say that a person killing an animal in a way that the animal would not even feel, for purposes he felt justified, was wrong.
If I were the man I’d have just chopped it’s head off, but if it was a situation I deemed it necessary for a shotgun I’d feel fine with it. And you best bet I’d say something funny while shooting it and give it a weird title. That doesn’t mean I’m a sociopath, just that I have a different sense of humor. I joke about all kinds of shit.

Just because I think that it is ok for a man to shoot a chicken doesn’t make me a bad hunter or a sociopath. If I were a bad hunter I’d drink beer, trespass, wear no orange, not use my safety, and shoot in unsafe directions. If I were a sociopath I wouldn’t care about people, I’d dissect still living animals, and I’d manipulate the people I love.
If you are going to make massive judgements on a person’s character from a single comment then you should at least try to see things from that person’s perspective first.
But what do I know?
