Boston Bomber. A short play-by-play:

1. Reddit believes a man who went missing is the bomber and, as a result, begins to harass that man’s family.

2. To prevent the harassment, the police (or was it FBI?) was forced to come out and say they already know who’s responsible.

3. Learning that the police/FBI are now onto them, the bombers ran.

4. While on the run, they murdered a policeman, kidnapped another man, and got into a shootout with police, which led to the injury of two officers, one of whom would later die from his wounds.

5. While trying to escape the shootout, one of the bombers, who is presumed to be the mastermind behind the bombing, was accidentally run over and killed, potentially removing key info that the police/FBI could’ve used.

6. It is very possible that, had Reddit never interrupted the investigation, the police/FBI could’ve nabbed the bombers without anyone being injured or killed.

7. In the end, the missing man that Reddit initially believed to be the bomber was found — he had committed suicide weeks before the bombing even occurred.

Reddit killed people. Never let Reddit forget.
