All this talk about Thrash Metal, and Slayer reminds me of the time I actually saw Slayer in concert in 2017, and they had begun playing Raining Blood and they opened up a GIGANTIC circle pit and I was reluctant to get in the pit due to my past mosh pit experiences but I decided to get in the pit so I can join my fellow metalhead brothers. As soon as I set foot in the pit, I knew immediately that I made a poor judgement call. I started to sweat profusely due to my anxiety and back then I was on the obese side (I’m much lighter now lol) I attempted to start running with everyone else but I lost my footing and toppled over three people and I had to roll myself over because I lacked the body strength to pick myself back up. As soon as I flipped on my back, I was immediately greeted with a kick to the head. Soon after, people started noticing that I was on the floor and a couple of dudes tried to give me a hand and help me back up but they failed to do so because I was on the heavy side pushing 325 lbs…. And I heard a guy yell “Fuck this” and I was let go and fell back to the ground and then I was bombarded with more kicks to the head again. After what felt like an eternity, Security finally took notice and jumped in the pit and it took about 5 of them to get me over the railing to get on the stretcher and on my way out, I gave Tom Araya the metal horns \m/ and he kind of stared at me funny, probably because I was bleeding out or my head. One hell of a night needless to say. Any other experiences?
