In all honesty, the Let it Grow scene in the movie The Lorax has to be one of the most meme-able scenes put to life. It almost feels like satire.

The whole thing even has a jarring eeriness to it. Half the singing voices don’t match the character designs at all, the huge collective “aww” over a little girl saying a mundane thing, the way the sky changes from a deep purple to a regular blue out of nowhere. The way the villain even gets defeated in the laziest way by flying him away somewhere else consequence-free. It’s like the movie knew how corporate it is and took that into the uncanny valley extreme.

The experience is like the aftermath of a commercial and a genuine message-piece had violent unprotected sex, with the commercial having the stronger genes.
