To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Game of Thrones S8. The writing is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of foundational storytelling most of the intrigues will go over a typical viewer’s head. There’s also Dany’s Randian hero outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation – her personal philosophy draws heavily from objectivist literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of her actions, to realize that they’re not just random decisions – but carefully planned campaigns to improve everybody’s lives through her own egoism. As a consequence people who dislike GoT S8 truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the tragical Russian romanticism innuendo in Aegon (his real name btw) existential catchphrase “Yah ah mah queen,” which itself is a cryptic reference to Dostoyevski’s Rogozhin appreciation for Nastasya in The Idiot (no, it’s not about you). I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as D&D’s genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools… how I pity them. 😂 And yes by the way, I DO have a GoT S8 tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for the ladies’ eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they’re within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.
