Social media users are pursuing a career in professional communications that must be transparent when orchestrating strategies to be successful. I am creating a handbook for social media users willing to succeed and secure opportunities to become worldwide professionals. Yet, its a trend, yet it takes time to get used to, especially with incoming conflict influencing treasons and societal misconceptions. Some dos I consider is to abide by community standards and regulations of platforms that you enter. You must follow safety procedures and abide by the company’s standards so that your account won’t be warned or immediately terminated by moderators. Don’t use social media to taunt or control individuals, troll, or cause conflict that would become regretful within the platform’s standards. Please don’t insult moderators or post inappropriate content that doesn’t have anything to do with the company’s mission. Insinuating and negotiation are not tolerated when it comes to cyberbullying and similar events that may get your account removed. According to Jibran Malek, “Facebook defines hate speech as attacks on a person based on their “protected characteristics” such as: race, ethnicity, national origin, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, sex, gender, gender identity, and serious disability or disease” (Malek, 2018).
