Off topic question: How do you like your steaks done?

I’ll kick this off, and it’s sure to be a controversial answer. “Well done” is the proper way to cook steak, no pinkness at all. Unfortunately restaurants tend to burn well done steaks, as they use a fixed heat grill for rare, medium, and well done steaks. They end up not only burnt, but often dryer, tougher, and more chewy.

The proper way to do a well done steak, which I do at home, is a medium heat, 15 – 20 mins on the grill, turn occasionally. Result is a nice tender, juicy, moist, well done steak that has no pink at all. Lovely!!! 🙂

I should add I’m from the UK, and most Brits prefer well done steaks (apparently, according to stats)
In fact in the UK it’s illegal to serve a burger less than well done unless specific approval is obtained from the government Food Standards Agency lol
