The agricultural revolution was the greatest mistake in the history of humanity. It promised of food security which it did not deliver. Humanity had been eating a varied diet which changed every meal for millions of years, however over the course of a couple thousand that was all changed. Humans started to grow wheat, corn, barley, etc. to feed ourselves. This (contrary to the notion of food security) meant bad harvests would lead to death for thousands. Furthermore, they could not just move as the farm land would be given up to other tribes. On top of that, the agricultural revolution lead to populations exploding rendering leaving near impossible. This lack of variation caused health problems, people lacked critical micronutrients and humanities height even shrunk by an average of 5 inches. On top of this, humanity living in the same place with larger and larger populations meant disease was rife, the percentage of people dying a year increased dramatically but the population was growing so quickly that this didn’t matter much. To add insult to injury people were working longer and harder on the farms than when hunting. To harshen the blow, animals were now being abused and placed in terrible conditions at a scale unseen before. Babies were being fed more and more on grains rather than their mothers milk which lead to intelligence dropping. Overall, the real winners of the agricultural revolution was wheat. Humans, cows, chickens, sheep, etc. suffered severely.
