Hi everyone, apologies if this seems a bit long, but it is important and it needs to be said. Please mark your posts NSFW if they contain any form of sexual content. It’s simple. The mod team and I really appreciate the effort you guys go to to create copypasta, and we are asking you to do one small thing (you literally need to click one button) to help us out.

Sadly, if you guys don’t start tagging your posts as NSFW, we will have no option but to set the whole subreddit to a NSFW subreddit. This wouldn’t be good at all. This would mean that all of our users that are under the age of 18 won’t be able to participate on the subreddit as per the Reddit content policy regarding NSFW content. This would also mean that anyone who has ever posted or even commented on this subreddit will automatically have their profile tagged as NSFW. One of the worst repercussions of setting the whole subreddit to NSFW would be that all of the copypasta that aren’t NSFW would be tagged as NSFW regardless of the content within them. This would be a huge loss for our community.

It all boils down to this. If your post contains anything NSFW (sexual content and references, graphic content), then please, please, please tag it as NSFW. We also encourage people to be more creative and post things that don’t rely on sexual humour alone to be funny. If you look at the best copypasta on the subreddit, you’ll find that they are original and well-written, and don’t rely on cheap jokes to be funny.
