Allow me to clarify. This card is called Pot of Greed. When activated, you perform the following ritual: First, you must move your hand to a position in space/time where it is hovering just above your main deck. Then, you must place your middle finger and pointer finger on the backside of the top card of your main deck. Hopefully you are of the homo sapiens species, or at least a primate, because you must have opposable thumbs to proceed. Place your thumb on the bottom edge of the top card of your main deck in a way that creates a grip of this card in tandem with your middle and pointer fingers. Now you must engage multiple muscles in your hand and arm to raise this card up from the main deck in a way that does not reveal the face of the card to your opponent. While keeping the card hidden, you must move it towards your hand, and slide it in amongst the other cards in your hand. Note: at this stage, your hand should now contain one more card than it did before this ritual began. This whole process is called a “draw.” Now here’s the tricky part. You must perform another draw in addition to the draw you’ve just completed. This is where most people get lost. There should be a total of TWO cards drawn from the top of the main deck added to the hand. Once you’ve performed your SECOND draw, the number of cards in your hand should have now increased by a net total of TWO cards since the activation of Pot of Greed. If this is not the case, you have certainly botched the procedure in some horrific way. A good way to check if you’ve performed the steps correctly would be to count the number of cards in your main deck before you activate Pot of Greed and after you’ve resolved Pot of Greed. According to high level calculus, there should be a total difference of TWO cards between these two main deck card counts. To be more specific, there should be two less cards in the main deck after Pot of Greed has resolved than there were before it resolved. As a side note, it is common practice to explain aloud to your opponent and any possible spectators what Pot of Greed does before you resolve its effect. If you fail to do so, it could result in mass confusion for all parties involved, as Pot of Greed is understandably the most complicated card in all of Yu-Gi-Oh.
