I went through 10+ years of living with 3 people in a flat made to home 1 person. I grew up with the bare human resources I needed to keep me alive. The only reason I even ended up with a desktop (which by the way had 1 GB of ram, a dual core processor and no GPU.) was because I was given it as one of the only things my biological ‘Dad’ has ever given me. My Xbox 360 Arcade was given to me by my brother who was older than me and had worked for it prior to get it way after it’s release. I kept that up until this day. For Birthdays and Christmas’s I would get a game or some for around £40-50, and I was happy. You’ve never had to go through that or something similar for that period of time. Recently, for Birthdays and Christmas’s I’ve been given some more expensive things, yes. I’ve been offered them and who the fuck would say no? Even so, I just considered it making up for past that I’ve had, and I plan to never receive presents of such a high value again. I have a high end PC, Xbox One and PS4 because I game A LOT and it’s my main hobby. I understand you may be jealous of this PC or whatever, but it doesn’t make me spoiled to have something that many other people have. I am not the only person on this planet with a PC capable of running games at a framerate higher than 10. All I can say is that it’s honestly a shame that I’ve saddened you by having a nice Birthday / Christmas. PS: I’m sure next year you can persuade your parents to run a quick can you run it test before giving you an otherwise worthless present!
