I’ve seen some people typing your when they mean you’re and common errors regarding ~~homonyms~~ homophones that a lot of other English speakers make online.

I personally do not understand how some people are “okay” with making these errors and get mad whenever someone corrects them.

It’s something that we all learn when we’re 7 or so; I don’t understand why some of us confuse ~~homonyms~~ homophones.

If you don’t want someone to correct your grammar you shouldn’t be using your as you’re.

It’s your fault if someone corrects your grammar; it doesn’t matter if “They know what you mean” or “It’s the internet not an English exam”, or any of the other ways people try to excuse themselves, it’s still incorrect.

If someone corrects my grammar, I just say thank you and feel embarrassed as I should know better.

I have to admit that I have embarrassingly on very rare occasions used the wrong word, it’s super embarrassing for me to correct my own grammar. When I do it as I said, I as someone who has English as their first language should not be making such simple mistakes.

If English is someone’s second, third, etc language that’s of course, different as they’re still learning.

Edit: I was notified I used do instead of make so I corrected it, thank you.

Edit #2: I was notified that I used the homonym when I should have used homophone, once again, thank you.

Edit #3: I’ve corrected more errors.
