“On Hocotate there was a kid that got 100% in math! Olimar told his son. “As a reward you can have anything you want from the store for that good mark.”
After 10 minutes they arrived at the brightly colored toy store. Olimar’s son playfully called out “I want everything in the store. By the way… NO TAKE BACKS! You said I could have anything I wanted.”
Olimar couldn’t argue. Even though he was deeply in debt he had to agree. “Okay son. Put everything into a shopping cart all 200.” Olimar sighed. “Come back when you’re done.”
Shortly, Olimar’s son was done loading the shopping carts. “How much will this be costing me?” Olimar asked.
“Seventy million, six hundred thirty five thousand, four hundred eighty one dollars and thirty two cents,” the store person blabbered.
Olimar fainted and in ten seconds revived himself. “Okay.” Olimar said shyly. “Here’s my debit card…” He paid and his son helped him haul the stuff home.
When he got home, Olimar had to find 1,000 storage boxes. “Thank you daddy.” Said Olimar’s son. “What should I do first?”
Olimar noticed a no returns sign at the store. He ignored his son. Now he was over $70,000,000 in debt, plus his existing debt. He thought for a long time, “… … … … …”
Then he finally came up with an idea. “I should go back to the pikmin planet and find treasures so I can get this debt paid off. I will take my son so my wife doesn’t get mad, and best of all I might get to meet the pikmin again.”
It was getting late. Olimar put his son to bed. “Tomorrow bring your two favorite toys. Good night. I love you.” Olimar said.
In a few minutes Olimar’s wife came home from the mall. Olimar sighed. “You won’t like what I’m about to tell you.” he said.
“What are you about to tell me?” she replied. “Well… um… I… kina spent… 70… million dollars on toys for our son.”
“You did WHAT!” she screamed.
“I know. I’m sorry. I’ll have to make up for it.”
“How are you supposed to make up for 70 million dollars?” She yelled back.”
I’ll go to the pikm…” he got cut off.
“So you’re going to the pikmin planet AGAIN! You can’t just leave your family!” she said.
“I’ll bring you and our son with me.” He replied.
“Okay fine. There’s no point in having this argument. Our son can be a handful at times. I forgive you.” She said.
Olimar cried with joy. “THANK YOU! … And lets pack to overnight,” said Olimar.
“Okay,” she said. Within an hour they were done packing.
“We’d better get some sleep before the journey,” said Olimar’s wife.
Shortly they went to bed. “Good night!” said Olimar.
The next morning Olimar woke up at 5:00 am. He needed to get his ship ready for a long vacation. After filling up the gas tank, repairs, upgrades, and a fresh coat of paint, Olimar went back inside his house. It was about time for his wife and his son to wake up. Olimar quickly made breakfast and rushed to the travel store to get some space food. He rushed back home. “Good morning,” said Olimar’s wife. “I will pack our son’s things. Olimar, can you load the spaceship?”
“Yes. I will load the spaceship,” Olimar replied.
While Olimar was loading the spaceship, his wife and his son were eating breakfast. “I’m done loading the spaceship!” Olimar yelled. “Get in!” You can finish breakfast in the ship!” Olimar said.
They took off in the ship. Within minutes they were out of the vast atmosphere of Hocotate. “Is this space?” asked Olimar’s son.
“Yes this is space.” Olimar replied. “We have about 200 light years to travel. Luckily we’re going one light year per minute.”
They arrived on the pikmin planet in about 3 hours and 30 minutes. “You guys wait within the safety of the ship. It is not safe for you to go out without the pikmin.” Said Olimar.
Olimar set out to find the onion. The onion is a machine that produces pikmin. It has a flower on top of it. The flower spins for the onion to take flight. When the onion is following a spaceship, it uses jet boosters located at the bottom of the onion to give it propulsion like a rocket. When not aloft, yellow string like things support the weight of the onion. They allow pikmin to crawl in and out of the onion. The onion gives birth to the pikmin (with dead enemies and flower centers for material) and provides the pikmin with shelter.
The last time Olimar saw the onion, (when three Kopites rescued him) the onion was rainbow colored because they were all mushed together. Olimar knew that he had to find a rainbow colored onion.
While Olimar was finding the onion he admired the giant lush, green plants, the mighty hills, and the fact Louie wasn’t around. Then out of nowhere, three red pikmin came and hugged him. Instantly, three yellow, three blue, three rock and three winged pikmin joined him. The onion was not far ahead.
When Olimar had reached the onion, it looked like a rainbow colored fruit, because it was stuck in a tree. “Maybe if I throw all 15 of these pikmin, the onion will come down”.
That is exactly what Olimar did. The onion flew up about 10 cm, (Olimar is 5 cm tall) and spurted out the yellow stringy things.
“Bwla Bwla Bwla”, there was the voice of a bulborb not far off.
Luckily, there was a bomb rock. There was also five 10 pellets, one for each type of pikmin. Next to the ten pellets, there were lots of pikmin sprouts.
Olimar plucked all of the sprouts. When he was done he realized he had 50 pikmin, ten of each kind.
He assigned the pikmin to take back the ten pellets of their color. The pikmin used teamwork and got the pellets back to the onion. The onion spurted out pikmin seeds which were ready to harvest in two seconds from the tine they hit the ground. Olimar plucked all 50 pikmin; he then had one pikmin grab the bomb rock, and threw the pikmin that was carrying the bomb rock. The poor terrified thing scurried back to the safety of Olimar’s squad.
When the bomb rock exploded the bulborb died. The pikmin brought the bulborb back to the onion. All the new pikmin were born inside the onion because there can only be 100 pikmin on the field at a time.
Olimar ran back to his SS Dolphin to meet his wife and his son. It was getting late. “Lets go to bed now, lock up the ship so no bulborbs come in.” Olimar said. They took off into the night sky; the onion followed them into space. “We will remain in orbit until tomorrow morning”.
The next morning they got out of the ship. “Now that I have found the onion, you two can come with me…. Hey! What’s that mound of dirt? Yellow pikmin, CHARGE!” Olimar said.
Soon the yellow pikmin were done digging up the dirt mound, “SHINY!” cried Olimar’s son.
“Okay, son. Hey wait, there’s an instruction manual with it. Let’s see, Okay. It says… If the owner of the gem makes someone happy, the owner of the gem will be compensated. Wow, that’s cool.” Olimar sighed; first we need to find a way to clean it.
Olimar’s wife couldn’t help but interrupt. “I could clean it at the ship while you explore”.
Olimar took out 100 pikmin from the onion and explored for a while. He found a white flower and a purple flower. Olimar threw some pikmin into the candypop buds, remembering that white and purple pikmin don’t have onions. Olimar felt a tad sorry for them. If he wasn’t there to give them shelter they would just die. When the candy pop bud was done changing the pikmin’s color, Olimar plucked five white and five purple pikmin. He brought them back to the ship where they would be safe.
Meanwhile, there was an evil villain, she absolutely loved stealing dresses and her main goal was MONEY, to have lots and lots of money. Her name was Weird Dress Lady. She lived in a hideout shaped liked a volcano. Her hideout is equipped with powerful binoculars. She looked out of the binoculars and saw a gem. She also saw a family
Weird Dress Lady had to think of a plan. “Ah, I know, I’ll just steal that guy and the gem. Those two are helpless,” she thought to herself. Weird Dress Lady stuck out a hologram of a gem on top of her hideout.
As usual, Olimar fell for it. He always falls for shiny things. Olimar fell down the fake volcano screaming, “I didn’t bring any pikmin.”
When Olimar landed, the gem came out of his pocket. Weird Dress Lady grabbed the gem. “Okay, weird dude, I’ll never let you go.” Hours passed with no hope of Weird Dress Lady letting Olimar go.
Olimar’s wife started to worry. “Son, let’s go inside now. Daddy will come. Hopefully”, she sighed.
The pikmin went back to their onion. All this out of the ship’s window was devastating for Olimar’s wife to see because Olimar wasn’t there. Olimar’s wife tucked her son into bed and stared out the window. Since, too much time (15 minutes) had passed. Olimar’s wife went to bed.
The next morning the pikmin woke up. They made their onion go all the way to Olimar’s cage. “Oh, what’s this, your little defense against me?” Said Weird Dress Lady.
Olimar took out 100 pikmin, “yes it is,” he said.
“I will let you out of this cage so I can simply attack you.” She replied.
“You can’t, you don’t have pik…” He stopped as she revealed a puffstool, which turns pikmin into puffmin.
Puffmin are evil and turn against Olimar and all his pikmin. She turned all but one of Olimar’s pikmin into puffmin. She didn’t know that attacking a puffmin could easily reverse this change. Olimar used his last pikmin to make a puffmin into a pikmin. He kept doing that and eventually killed the puffstool.
Without the puffstool no more puffmin could be made. Weird Dress Lady eventually died, once she died, Olimar checked all her drawers and closets. He would be compensated for returning all the stolen dress he could find and most importantly, the white and purple onions. He put the pikmin in their onion and rode on top of the onions to get out of the volcano.
Once he arrived at his ship, his wife said, “Where were you last night?”
“It’s a long story.” Olimar replied “I’ll tell you on the way home.”
When they arrived back on Hocotate, Olimar was compensated for bringing back the stolen dresses. He was able to pay off his debt and have money left over.
Olimar was able to return most of the toys to the store and best of all; the white and purple onions merged with the rest and followed Olimar back to Hocotate.
