When you gave $3 in 2015, you kept Wikipedia thriving for yourself and millions of other readers. Will you match your last gift?

We need your help this week. Will you donate to keep Wikipedia a home for free and independent knowledge?

Does Wikipedia mean something special to you? Does it feel unique and rare? Have you come to rely on its stability, integrity, and independence?

Wikipedia is special to me for a lot of reasons. It’s an experiment that continues to reveal what is best about the Internet and our society. It’s the work of tens of thousands of people, collaborating around the world, every hour of every day, just to share knowledge. It’s also the only top ten website that’s supported by a non-profit. This is how we maintain our identity and our independence.

Every year, I’m stunned by the response from our donors. But we haven’t reached our fundraising goal, and we don’t have a lot of time left. We’re not salespeople. We’re librarians, archivists, and information junkies. We rely on our readers to become our donors, and it’s worked for fifteen years.

This year, please consider making another donation to protect and sustain Wikipedia.
