We should build a nuclear power station on Isle Royale.

Really, it’s a good location, safe in case of meltdown, but close enough proximity to the Keweenaw Peninsula, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Ontario to not be too far to connect to the wider grid.

The power it would provide would end these types of power outages we now face. Nuclear power is also one of the cleanest and cheapest types there are, our entire state could use that one Power Station and still have a considerable surplus, of which we could then sell to improve existing Grid infrastructure, and it wouldn’t produce a single molecule of CO2 But all of this requires optimal conditions, something the existing regional grid doesn’t have the will to do.

Actually, after we build it, we should secede from the entire Grid, just go it alone, we won’t need their dead weight after it’s built.

Edit: Why are you downvoting this, it’s an objectively correct opinion, who give a shit about “protected species” or any of that hippie bullshit, I don’t want any more blackouts.
