Nice try but you got this one wrong! I am a firefighter and I am actually sitting in fire camp on the fire you are referring to as I type. I have extensive knowledge and experience in fire behavior and I have seen the destruction first hand. What happened here is absolutely nothing out of the ordinary as this fire was fueled by a wind event. This is not the first time I’ve seen a fire leave this type of damage to an area. The winds were in excess of 30mph and carried firebrands at distances of 1/4 mile plus. These firebrands enter a building in some form or another through the eaves, roof, deck, etc leading to a fully engulfed structure. Those ornamental trees are not conditioned to burn in those conditions. They require extensive drying and ignition of ladder fuels once the crowns are preheated. I can go further into detail but the point is, this video is based on pure speculation and lacks the facts and data to support your claim. Whether intentional or not, you are misleading your audience.
