It bothers me that people are treating GoT fans who are devastated by the ending of their favorite TV show with such disrespect. Like, yeah, it’s just a TV show, but people use TV shows for escapism, they identify with the characters, and yeah, they probably use them as an unhealthy coping mechanism. But just because you don’t like the reasons doesn’t mean someone’s feelings of grief–and psychiatrists have used that term to describe this phenomenon–are not valid.

Seriously. I felt this way after TLJ crapped on my childhood. These feelings are no joke. Please stop treating them that way just because you, personally, don’t think they’re valid.
