Let’s pretend everyone in America stopped working. It might be fun for the first few weeks. But then your internet goes down, and no one steps up to fix it. No one is maintaining cell towers so once those go down, say good-bye to your phone. Say good-bye to electricity. The food in your house might last you a while, but eventually, you will have to get more. Oops, no one is farming, no one is preserving, no one is packaging. Everything that was in the grocery store is all the stock that is left, but there’s no security and they are all empty, so every store would have been robbed within the first few days. A pipe bursts in your plumbing. Looks like you gotta fix it. Don’t know how to? You can just Googl- oh wait, no you can’t, because you don’t have internet or electricity. Guess your house will just flood. Money has no value, so you can’t just pay your neighbor. Besides, they don’t want to work anyway. Oh no! Is that the sound of someone breaking into your house? Even if you had a working phone (which you don’t), there are no cops to stop them anyway. It’s up to you to defend yourself. Too bad they’re stronger and they have more lethal weapons!
