I bought the game with the intention of playing the Battle Mode as well as the rest of the game. Upon launch, Epic instantly installed itself but the single player game can be played by simply exiting out of the prompt and not using an Epic account. As soon as the installer is force installed, it can also be deleted. Valve deceived their customers by not putting a warning about Epic until almost a full day after launch, therefore causing thousands of people to unknowingly install Chinese spyware when installing the game. The “product” itself that I am reviewing includes every aspect of it, not just the single player game itself. I chose to play some of the solo game because the software had already force installed on my computer, even if I was able to instantly delete it. I never would have pressed play if the store had accurate information about Epic at launch, but once you are deceived into opening Pandora’s Box, you might as well briefly enjoy the spoils.
