**Here’s the reason** [r/destinythegame](https://www.reddit.com/r/destinythegame/) **feels so unsatisfying and irritating at times**

The phenomena is called: minimum viable information. This means the user has just enough information to karma-farm. Not great at all.

[r/destinythegame](https://www.reddit.com/r/destinythegame/) is a subreddit and right now their focus is on manipulating and spinning narratives on Destiny 2. [r/dtg](https://www.reddit.com/r/dtg/) is their karma cash-cow, and they’re maintaining the status-quo just enough so that the upvotes keep pouring in while not engaging with the game to it’s full potential.

[r/destinythegame](https://www.reddit.com/r/destinythegame/) doesn’t have to make a name for itself anymore, so a lot of the subscribers on it are focused on ‘hot-takes’ and they’re not trying to make [r/destinythegame](https://www.reddit.com/r/destinythegame/) all it can be. Just barely relevant to the title to keep it active, and hoping to ward off any new players with their pretentious toxic garbage.
