I don’t know if it’s just me, but I feel like Krispy Kreme donuts have downgraded in quality over the years. Before, the classic glazed donuts were much larger, and they rose much better too. You could see the white line in the center of the donut as a result of it rising well. Also, the glaze was much tougher and wouldn’t crack after touching it even slightly.

However, now the donuts have gotten so small. The glaze is so fragile yet so thick, and it feels like the glaze has gotten even sweeter, if anything. The dough no longer rises at much, judging by the fact that I can’t see the white line or much webbing inside the donut. The only part about Krispy Kreme donuts that has gotten better is the frying. The donuts are fried much better now, because I can feel a slight Krisp when I bite into it.
