Like most fast food places, Arby’s is largely mediocre depending on what you get. Their basic Roast Beef Sandwiches are pretty meh. The meat is very dry and the taste is largely bland. When you put their sauce on it, it’s decent, not good enough to want to keep going back there, but decent enough if you don’t have a better option near you or just want something different.

What you want is their Turkey Club Sandwich. It’s actually really good turkey meat and tastes great. Surprisingly, they also have really good Milkshakes, but they are expensive and rich with lots of chocolate syrup. I usually also get their signature Curly Fries, which is probably the main thing they are known for. I don’t think any other fast food place has better fries.

The Turkey Club, Curly Fries and a Milkshake is pretty much all I order from there. I am sure there is one or two other items on the list that are worth eating, but it’s risky running through the menu only to end up getting stuff you don’t like and wasting your time. Point being, like all fast food places, they have good items, you just have to know about them. Picking random items off a menu is a surefire way to get a bad impression of a place.

Two of my other favorite places that are considered mediocre is Sonic and Dairy Queen. I have to custom order my burgers from there. I basically order a Double Cheese Burger and cut everything but the meat, cheese, bread and ketchup. DQ has really good meat, and Sonic’s isn’t bad, but all the other shit they usually pile up on their burgers are low quality, tastes bad or cuts into the flavor of the burger. I would say with the way I order them, they are better than Big Macs and Whoppers, personally. The last one is questionable though because I think my local Burger King has just went to shit, I remember them tasting better many years ago and they are the only place that does good grill marks afaik.

Also, obviously DQ Blizzards are the best fast food ice cream you will ever get, but everyone knows about that already. If you need fast food ice cream though, Milkshakes from Arby’s is second best, followed by Milkshakes from Sonic. Everywhere else sucks.
