alright so backstory, I live in the capital of the lumber industry in the United States, Washington state. Every day I look out the window and see truck after truck filled to the brim jim with humungous logs of spruce, fir, pine, and hemlock. I grew up on a tree farm surrounded by hundreds of thousands of trees. And trees are cool, you know. I fucking love trees. Some of my best memories were made under the towering shade of a sequoia or the gentle sway of a pine. So that’s why it fuckin SICKENS me to see trees brazenly slaughtered for human exploitation. who the fuck do you guys think you are? trees are living beings, they deserve to keep on living. is that really too much to ask? and fyi I now live alone in Seattle in a certified tree-free home. I won’t have the sap of trees on my hands. This country, this world deserves everything it has coming to it for mercilessly butchering the cornerstone of all life on earth! why do you think we keep getting hit with plagues and pandemics? did we have pandemics in ancient times? nope! that’s because, unlike now, people had decency and a respect for all living things. then we started killing tress and what do ya know, black plague, Spanish flu, coronavirus, ebola. there are no coincidences. scientists have proven beyond shadow of a doubt that trees have feelings. trees can communicate among themselves and other living things, trees are cognizant. and now they’re fucking you all over with cancer, and frankly, it makes me glad. god damn this whole tree slaughtering world.
