Nikola Tesla once said: “You may live to see man-made horrors beyond your comprehension”, and he was right. Ever since I’ve heard this quote I immediately thought of some sort of cruel act humans will commit during my lifetime on this planet. I started to think it might be war, murders, torture, but never I would have imagined what kind of horror would manifest in front of me. One of my dearest friends once mentioned the possibility of him eating “Lasagna sandwich”, my brain was devastated by this concept, how can someone make a sandwich out of a lasagna? Why would someone even do this? “I was hungry” was his response to my questions, but never I would have thought how actually horrific and terrifying it would be. As a joke he sent pictures of his monstrosity, of his creature, his own God’s punishment he brought upon all of us. I couldn’t understand it. My brain could not comprehend what was in front of me, it couldn’t remember the shape of whatever was in that picture, the only memory left of it was a abstract concept of it’s existence. How could something so stupid confuse millions of years of evolution? Humans have been evolving for longer than we can imagine, our brains developed to be able to complete incredibly difficult tasks, yet it could not accept and understand the form and existence of that thing. Ancient Greeks have spoken about the concept of “Pneuma”, the principle of consciousness of every living organism, and if it really exists today it was broken, for consciousness itself couldn’t be aware of the “Lasagna Sandwich”.
