The word “sandwich” makes no sense, it originates from the word “sand” and the word “witch”. The literal definition of a “sandwitch” is a sand witch. All that some dude did was remove the t from “witch”, but then he left the d in “sand”, and that’s how the word “sandwich” originated from. As a result I believe if you will take out the word “t” from the word “witch”, why not do vice versa for the word “sand” by removing the “d”. Wouldn’t that just make perfect sense if we said sanwich instead of sandwitch, why not say sandwitch then? Whats the difference? Literally one letter difference and for the better. Just because some mid 18th Century dude ate meat between two pices of bread shouldn’t mean we should leave the word as it is and not correct it for the greater good.
