charisma is really op, (imo at least its no a must have) i’ve never really done a high luck player its not hat important unless your going for a high crit character, strength isn’t op neither is endurance, since you get power armor early in the main questline (its the first quest, it’s not good power armor, but its power armor non the less intelligence is good to have in the earlier stage since you get more ex ie, you get to level up faster, perception is good if your going for a vats build, agility is essential for a stealth build (this should go without saying but if you want to do a melee main build strength is good) idiot savant is a perk you get at luck level five, it makes you get more xp most the time, the bonus is bigger if your intelligence is lower, so if you don’t want intelligence get idiot savant, charisma is good since you get more dialogue options, you can skip boring tasks and get more caps for what you do have to do my usual character looks like this (keep in mind this is a general player not a specific build, if you want to take a particular route, tell me so i can give you a good build)- strength-3 perception-4 endurance-3 charisma-8 intelligence-5 agility-3 luck-2

also there is a mission you can get as soon as you go to diamond city called diamond city blues, if you have max charisma you can net a total profit of 7000ish caps, if I remember correctly, it could very possibly be more DISCLAIMER this is a ONE TIME mission so this is not renewable thing, there is another strategy ill give you for that later, so back to what I was saying, the quest diamond city blues is a quest in diamond city and how you activate it is by going to the upscale bar in the upper stands can’t remember what its called, but you should watch a video on how to activate it since I’m bad at describing stuff, (I’m going to spoil the mission for you, but its whatever it’s not that big of a twist.) so basically you go to the bar and these two guys are having a fight, and one guy loses, you exit the bar after that and you can intercept the loser and help him kill/intimidate the other guy, it doesn’t matter what you choose, the lucrative part happens anyway. so after that just follow the missions quest line until you have to bust a chem (drug) deal, now one quick tip its to buy some sort of grenade (preferably a Molotov cocktail, since they work the best and are the easiest to find and cheapest to buy) so you throw your grenades, then that should kill most the gangsters, and one guy will have 800 caps on him, pick those up before the other character realizes, after you do all the dialogue and stuff choose the option (which you need 10 charisma for) to keep the chems and the money, after that you’ll feel a little bad cause the guy will run away crying, but that’s not important. So now sell your chems at diamond city, for a nice profit, yiou’ll get about 30 caps per chem, and you now have 60 of eache chem, and theres i think 5 different ones, if you have good charisma and cap collector you’ll get 30 a pop , but wait, there’s more, don’t sell your jet since you can sell jet to the guy named i think bobby, don’t quote me on that tho. So bobby is a maintenance worker in vault 81, you’ll find him in the generator room sometimes, or in the cafeteria, depends on the time of day. so you can sell your 60 jet for 75 a pop to him, but theres a catch, you can only sll them one by ne and it takes a ton of time, but you’ll make double the money on your jet, 60×75=4500, just in jet, also the chems will go for 30x60x7200, plus the 800 from that guy (which seems like chump change now) you’ll end up with a solid 12500 caps, enough to buy the overseer’s guardian the best bun you can buy, which is sold at vault 81 at the shop buy the front door, but it comes very weird, but you can mod it to be even better. there you go buddy, I have more tips but my fingers hurt
