In the first collab between Travis and 21, “outside” from Travis’ album Birds in The Trap Sing McKnight, it is made pretty clear that they are outside and plan to stay there from the chorus of the song ~ “All my niggas outside, Ain’t going in. We been hanging outside, ain’t going in”

In their Astroworld collab, NC-17, 21 says “don’t you come outside we on that gang shit”, suggesting that Travis and 21 are still outside, as the “you” cannot come outside with them and the gang.

However, a spanner is thrown in the works in Metro Boomin’s song “Overdue” with Travis. The very last line of the song is “we been outside, going in”. So it seems that after all this time, Travis and 21 are finally going to go inside.

Despite this, in the next song on the album, Don’t Come Out The House, with Metro and 21, Savage says “Don’t come out the house coz the gang outside”, and “bang outside, I hang outside”. The first possible explanation here is that 21 is inside, but that his gang has stayed outside. Another is that since he went inside at the end of Overdue, Savage has since come back out. Both explanations are very plausible, but it seems like we will have to wait until their next collab to find the solution to this enticing and intense story told throughout their few collaborative records.
