The main reason that hampsters are a fruit is because that by saying that “a small furry creature” is NOT the right definition for a fruit is implying that it IS a definition for fruit, just not one that anyone uses. Furthermore, hampsters are simply a collection of atoms, and we gave them the name of “hampster.” “Fruit” is a collection of objects that are all composed of atoms that also have given a name. The dictionary definition of “hampster” is only the one that most people like to use. Also, language can change. Phrases like “sus” or “lit” or “pog” don’t really mean what they used to mean before, proving that language is not a strict set of rules, it is fragile and capable of changing at any time. This concludes my argument.
