Commenting is better than reacting. Commenting on a post requires more effort than merely reacting to it. Also, Facebook’s Newsfeed gives more weight to comments than reactions. This means more individuals are likely to see the post than if I had just reacted to it. Also comments are more fun than reactions, since you can’t really respond to someone’s reaction with a reaction. Reactions are limited to only 7 (like, heart, care, laugh, wow, sad, angry). These 7 are simply too limited to allow you to fully express yourself. Comments are much more customisable, since you can write whatever is on your mind, and/or attach additional stimuli such as links, photos and gifs. This evidence is more than sufficient to prove why comments are better than reactions.

So you should always be grateful when someone comments on your post, regardless of whether they react to it or not.
